The Friends Steering Committee:

PAC volunteers, check out the latest edition of the Friends newsletter by clicking onto the Newsletter link at the top. We are grateful to Bob Young and BeJae Blake for volunteering their time and talent each quarter. BeJae, a fellow usher and floor captain, produces the monthly newspaper at Cuesta College, the Cuestonian, with student help -- and that's the main purpose of her work, to train future journalists and newspaper production specialists in the latest digital techniques.

Bob Young, usher, floor captain and past Steering Committee member, was a reporter and editor with publications in McGraw Hill business magazines, Newsweek and the Los Angeles Times. He also had graphic design training during his 2 year Illustration program at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena at the young age of 54! Our Friends newsletter is produced using Adobe InDesign for the layout and PhotoShop to improve and scale photos. Thanks to Bob and BeJae's expertise with these programs and their love for good journalism, we have a very fine publication!

The PAC Friends strive to maintain a professional image and as such asks each of its members to dedicate themselves to and adhere to the policies and procedures of the organization. In an effort to achieve this goal, members are required to renew their commitment by signing an Usher Pledge at the beginning of each Usher Year. Both the membership dues and the signed Usher Pledge form are due before a member will be assigned to events for the first section (Fall) or sections thereafter of the Usher Year.
